Hi y’all! Long-time, no blog post! After talking on my IG stories about my recent revelation with some skincare products I’ve been using and loving, several of you requested an updated routine!
For reference, here is a blog post I wrote a while ago with some really humbling before and after pictures of what my skin used to look like. Though all of the things mentioned in that blog post are still true, I still take the pill and I still drink a LOT of water (at least 100 oz/day) I still found myself experiencing breakouts and bumpy texture on my face – most noticeably on my forehead.
Although my skin was not AS bad as it had been before, I still wanted my skin to look BETTER – clearer, smoother, brighter, and now that I’m 26, I’m incorporating some anti-aging products as well.
To begin, let me highlight the products I feel like have made the BIGGEST difference in my routine.
- Medicube Pore Pads. I use these morning and night. I have noticed visibly smoother & brighter skin from using these consistently. Click on the photo to shop 🙂
2. Snail Mucin – I know, this might sound crazy! This product was actually reccomended to me by my esthetician I used to see in Austin. She said that the bumpy texture on my skin could be due to dry skin. I have pretty oily skin so I’ve always been afraid to add more moisturizer to my routine, but ever since using this, it has smoothed everything out!

Here are some pics of my skin I took a couple days ago – no botox/fillers – anything. Freshly applied skincare and no filters on the photos.

Morning & Evening Routine
Now, on to my full morning & evening routine! I’ve numbered each item in the order I apply it 🙂

I also wanted to include this round up of items I use & love even if I don’t use them daily! I use this fizzofoliant 2-3x/ week. Every Sunday I do a face mask – either this one from Kiehls or this one from Medicube!
Diet & Water Intake
I feel like what we put in our bodies is what we will get out of it. If you’re new, I have been following the Faster Way To Fatloss program for over a year now! (See “faster way” highlight on my IG profile for more deets + my journey) This program includes daily workouts as well as macro and micro goals for me to hit. I focus on eating as many whole foods as I can while also prioritizing protein. I also wanted to note that I don’t have any allergies or dietary restrictions. I eat dairy and gluten!
Though I am not perfect, and we do eat out and drink alcohol, I notice not only a difference in the way I feel but also the way my skin looks when I am eating my best.
Overall, I don’t eat a lot of processed food and make sure to include things in my diet like avocados and berries for healthy fats and antioxidants.
Like I mentioned above, I try to drink at least 100oz of water a day! When my skin was at its clearest, I was tracking 130oz a day. Staying hydrated has been a huge key for me with clearing up my skin!
Other
Another thing I do regularly is dermaplaning my face. This just means I remove the “fuzz” from my whole face. I just use these little facial razors and I do this about once a month.
The last thing I will share with you that I have been doing consistently over the last year has been getting Hydrafacials. I try to get one every 2 or 3 months! I have felt like these facials have not only helped my skin stay hydrated but also helped a lot with the texture of my skin. It’s definitely a luxury to get these facials but since I don’t do botox, this is what I do instead — girl math, right?
Thanks for reading! Let me know if there is anything else you’d like to know.
