We Are Moving!

Hi y’all! If you saw my video I posted last week, you’ve already seen that… we are moving to Texas!

This might come as a shock to some of you, and not at all to others.

If you’ve been following me from the beginning, you know that Grant and I moved to Boston in June, 2021 for his job. We chose to live in a fabulous apartment right next to his office because we thought he would be going in to the office everyday and we’d be going to happy hours and socials, etc.

A couple months passed of living in Boston and he still was working remote, in complete isolation, in our 500 sq foot apartment.

We started thinking about moving about 4 months in… Grant asked about transferring offices and then he found out that he would be working virtually at least till next June 2022.

So we had to come up with a new plan.

With Boston winter looming over our heads and the thought of Grant working from home 24/7, we started crunching the numbers and considering all of our options.

Grant, being the accountant that he is, figured that if we move, pay to complete our lease early, and find a less expensive place to live, we will not only be saving money, but our mental, physical, and spiritual happiness will be exponential.

When are you moving?

December 2nd is when we are finished with our lease here in Boston so somewhere around that time!

Will you ever move back to Mississippi?

We have no plans to move back to Mississippi, but we have lots of plans to visit often! We both love Mississippi, however, there aren’t as many opportunities there as there are other places.

As far as choosing Dallas specifically, our first place we were interested in was actually Greenville, SC — I grew up going to summer camp close to Greenville and some friends of ours just moved there and are loving it! However, as far as Grant’s job and potential job opportunities for me, Dallas has a lot more to offer in that department.

I have always known I wanted to live in Dallas at some point in my life and I am thrilled that Grant and I get to move there!

Not only will be closer to friends and family but we will have a car and can starting saving money for a house, our future, etc.

We are SO excited to share this news! Cheers to the next chapter!
