Good & Grateful List // No. 13

Hi y’all! If you’re new here, welcome! This is a little series I try to do once a month, however, with the crazy last couple of months we’ve had, I haven’t done one in a while!

Basically, this series is a little chat time where I talk about all of the things that are good and things that I’m grateful for.

I started this series with the intention to help us all take a step back from a stressful and crazy world to remember all we have to be thankful for.

Here is a link to my last Good & Grateful List!

1. My Job

Although I’ve always chosen to keep my job private, y’all can have peace of mind knowing that I love it.

With all of our moves, I never went in with a plan of what I would do or what job I wanted to have. This never stressed us out because we knew the right opportunity would present itself at the right time.

When I tell you I applied to my current job on a whim, I mean it. I found the job posting on Linkedin and saw it had been posted for only an hour so I applied quickly with hopes I would hear back. (Jobs online are so hit or miss — I’ve probably applied to over 100 and only heard back from like, 2)

When they reached out to me about an interview I was like, which job was this again? lol

I am so thankful for this job and honestly can’t believe I got the position! We are our hardest critics and I know sometimes I can get down on myself and sell myself short. This job has given me so much more confidence and clarity with what I genuinely enjoy doing and it’s a great feeling.

I’m so grateful I’ve found a job I love at such a young age. I know a lot of my friends and people my age are still trying to figure out which direction they want to go and this job has helped me have a much clearer direction.

And it’s fully remote. And my manager is amazing.

2. Our Apartment

If you’ve been following along a while, you know that moving to Dallas wasn’t something we knew was going to happen and when it did, we were in a very tight time crunch to find an apartment here.

Thankfully, we have a family friend here in Dallas who is a realtor who helped us look at places and pick out an apartment.

At one point during all of that, we thought we would be moving in to an apartment sight unseen.

However, we were able to secure a place that we had seen once but, at the time, I wasn’t super crazy about it…

After living here for almost 4 months, I can confidently say, I love our apartment. The location honestly couldn’t be ANY better and I’m already sad about when our lease is up (not for a while, but still).

It’s all in God’s hands — just like it was the first time and things worked out better than I ever could have hoped!

3. Sunday School

We have gotten plugged in to a church here and have found a Sunday school we LOVE!

This was such a huge part missing for us in Boston and we are so grateful to have found a community of like-minded people here.

4. New Opportunities

As always, I am grateful for each and every one of you! I’m specifically grateful for all of the new opportunities the growth of my blog has brought me.

My blog is my favorite thing. It’s my creative outlet & my baby. It’s also my side hustle and it is so rewarding to see my hard work behind the scenes pay off.

You all are so amazing and I love this sweet community we have here!

What is something good or something you’re grateful for?

Thanks for reading!
