My First Time Picking Apples

Hi y’all! As some of you may have seen on my stories this past Saturday… Grant and I went apple picking!

Having grown up and lived in Mississippi my whole life, I have never been apple picking and it’s been sitting on my bucket list forever!

Needless to say, I was very excited to check it off my list first thing this year.

Grant and I drove about 2 hours to Bartlett’s Apple Orchard — located in the heart of the Berkshires (a stunning area that we will be visiting again!)

It started out as a super foggy and muggy day but by the time we arrived, the sun was out and it turned out to be a beautiful day.

This fabulous puffer was gifted to me from Julie Brown & I love how lightweight and colorful it is!

some of the apples we picked didn’t make it home!

There were so many different apples to choose from — each row was a different type! We tried to collect one of each to try.

Do I look like I’ve done this before?! lol

When we were researching which orchard to go to, we were overwhelming with options! At the end of the day, I don’t think you can really go wrong with any of them.

After picking our apples, we went into their store where they offered lots of fresh vegetables, pumpkins, maple syrup, jarred goods, and baked goods.

I got a sugared apple cider donut — also a first — and it was amazing. It tasted just like my mom’s Mississippi Spice Muffins!

We then drove to High Lawn Farm which was actually SO cool. It’s a beautiful, beautiful dairy farm.

I didn’t snap a pic of the gorgeous barns but here is one I found on Google!

They have a little gift shop were you can buy their milk, cheese, ice cream, and more.

We got to see the new babies!

And all the mommas! They have the coolest process set up for these cows to be milked by a machine… hard to explain but we could have watched these sweet girls all day!

Check out their website for more pics!

We were in awe of how beautiful the Berkshires area is… we stopped several times on the side of the road to admire it all! Living in the city makes us appreciate these pretty views even more 🙂

Thanks for reading!
